HARI positions the Hyundai Accent as affordable, quality mobility in the new normal
Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) is positioning the Hyundai Accent an ideal, affordable vehicle for personal mobility, specifically during these trying times wherein health and safety are at stake because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Hyundai Accent, one of the longest-running nameplates of the South Korea-headquartered auto maker, takes pride in its sensible style, safety, and performance.
Since 1996, five generations of the Hyundai Accent have been introduced. Every generation has been seen to improve on elegance, comfort, and efficiency, and this has made the Accent a household name in the Philippines.
Outside, the Accent is a demonstration of the work of Hyundai to construct and develop spectacular sedans.
The Hyundai model takes pride in its Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 configuration, and exhibits sculpted contours and noticeable lines that result in its sophisticated and athletic design.
When performance is taken into account, the fifth-generation Accent continually promotes the legacy of the auto brand as a flagship sedan through its available 1.6-liter CRDi diesel engine merged to either a six-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. Through this, the Accent seamlessly brings torque at 260Nm and a power output of 126hp.
As for fuel efficiency, the 1.6-liter CRDi Accent variant can take drivers as far as 29.4 km on one liter of diesel according to internal tests.
The Hyundai Accent demonstrates a more solidified framework due to its built-in 50% advanced high-strength steel (AHSS) exclusive to the automotive technology of Hyundai. This is an added feature to a shell that serves as lightweight protection for the enhancement of the aerodynamics and drivability of the vehicle while on the road. It also complies with the newest crash safety standards of the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration in the USA.
Inside, the Accent boasts a spacious cabin, equipped with a comfortable driver space and ergonomic seats. This is where vehicle details, controls, and motor-driven power steering are conveniently placed for ease of functionality. Moreover, the Accent is also fitted with dual front airbags for a more relaxed road trip.
